Before Willow Creek even became an academy. It was just a big acre land with four horses, barn, and a small home in the outskirts of Toronto, Canada. The owner of the ranch was Sara Andrews. She was fifty-two and lived alone, only with her four horses and her golden lab, Charles. Since she owned such a big acre land, she couldn't keep up with her house payments for the whole land. Sooner or later, she would have to sell the ranch within the two weeks the bank gave her. Suddenly, a married couple, which they go by the name of Harriet Simon, and Tom Simon. They both loved horses, and always wanted to go to a equestrian boarding school, but didn't. They decided to buy the land, and bought the horses that Sara had to sell as well.
After living on a ranch for only a week, they decided to turn this land into their own equestrian boarding school. They soon built up the school and it soon became a success. That was when they came up with the name. 'Willow Creek Academy.' That was how it all started, for Willow Creek.
Toronto, Canada is home of the big city lights and home to over 2.7 billion people, but what a lot of people know is that on the outskirts of this large city sits a little boarding school. Willow Creek Academy is one of the top five Equestrian Boarding Schools in Canada. Willow Creek is owned by a small family named the Hall's. Their great grandparents has had Willow Creek with them since the 1900's!
It all started with a group of College graduates wanting to do something more for Toronto, Canada and bring more people to the bombing town. So the group of friends went and bought a parcel of land and that's how Willow Creek started. Willow Creek was just a Riding Stable and it just grew from Riding stable to a small little Equine school where kids who was trying out for the Olympics could train and stay at the same time so the Halls family built a separate little housing for the costumers to stay during training & showing season.
Then the depression hit the little Riding School and it went down hill from there. People lost their jobs, had to sell their horse's and no where to go. The Halls were stuck with some ruff decisions and they decided that to make Willow Creek into a Academy for children from the ages of Jr.High to High School level students. They wanted to give children a chance to get a better life. They took in kids off the streets that their parents couldn't feed or take care of and gave them a life.
Now Willow Creek Academy has children & teachers across the World coming to the top Equestrian Academy in Canada to get the best training and teaching from the best. The Hall family still owns the Academy, but their Great Grandparents have passed away by now, but every once in awhile you might see a ghost of them walking the sidewalks of Willow Creek, but they are friendly ghosts that are just staying at the place the loved most of all.
