Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'7"
Markings: Scar on her upper left arm from getting bitten by a horse, small scars on her legs from shaving
Overall Appearance: Stephanie, despite coming from wealth, rarely flaunts it in her attire. In class, she'll dress nicely in a blouse and clean jeans, but never in an expensive or overly fashionable way. One thing Steph can't stand is the pyjamas look and even on days when she doesn't have classes, the minimum is casual, but nice looking clothes. Color wise, she wears a lot of red, but it's always been said that the Chinese look great in red. By no means is her wardrobe exclusive and owns clothes in a wide range of styles and colors. When it comes to formal attire, Stephanie really lets her feminine side show. She loves skirts and dresses and will gladly give clothing advice to her friends if they want it. While Steph wouldn't be caught dead wearing stilettos or pumps, she's fine with a few pairs of low heels even if it means being slightly taller than some guys. This is also the only instance where Steph will wear makeup.
For riding, Stephanie favors polo shirts, exact brand isn't important, breeches, and field boots. She finds it to be the most comfortable and practical arrangement that looks nice, but isn't overly formal. Her show clothes are rather standard for her disciplines. She rides in a Charles Owen helmet.

Likes: Reading, animals, English riding, strawberries, cross country running, track, singing, mathematics
Dislikes: homework (who doesn't?), disorder, peas, quantum physics, divas
Fears: People, heights, the unknown
Hopes: Meet all her parents' demands, jump at the Grand Prix level
Secrets: She's horribly allergic to cats to the point where just being in the same room as one will cause her nose and throat to get congested if she doesn't take medication beforehand. She has committed a bunch of "useless things" to memory such as the Periodic Table of the Elements, all the American Presidents and their Vice President, and she can map the world's countries and capitols. She's a native Chinese speaker.
Personality: Stephanie is hardly your stereotypical snotty rich kid. She's incredibly fearful around other people, large groups in particular. She's quiet and modest and needs a lot of urging from the teacher to participate and speak up. Even though she's a great singer and rider, Stephanie rarely lets her full potential show. Riding is how she works through the constant anxiety even if it sometimes adds to it when she or her horse majorly screws up. Steph is an incredibly loyal friend to the select few she's willing to open up to. It's hard to gain her trust and easy to lose it, but the people in her inner circle are held most dear. On stage or in the show ring, Stephanie almost seems to transform. She's rather irate five minutes before entering the ring and requires time to herself, but the adrenaline of actually competing or performing allows her to temporarily forget all the people watching her. In the spotlight, Stephanie acts far more confidant than she ordinarily is, but when the day is done, she wants nothing more than a hot shower, a book, and her iPod.
Under her fear, Stephanie is still a teenager who wants to do teenager things. She has a lighter side that can laugh and joke around, but few see it. It's covered by an emotional detachment to the world, though she's adept at "reading people" based on body language. Stephanie would describe herself like an onion. There are many layers and they'll make you cry, but with time, patience, and a bit of work, they're absolutely delicious and the pain was worth it for the end result.
She's a hard worker and has a strong sense of respect and fear for authority. Stephanie is the type to pull off all-nighters to finish a project or spend hours reviewing tapes of her lessons and shows searching for every place where she wasn't perfect. She acts out of fear of being laughed at and decided that the only way to keep people from endlessly criticizing her is to be perfect. Order is also high in Steph's book and keeps all her work in perfect order. Even her clothes are organized based on color and style. She may seem a bit OCD about order, but it's more of a personality trait than disorder. While some people may love not knowing what's next, Stephanie feels lost when forced outside a nearly regimented schedule. She needs to know what's going to happen even if just a quick 'heads up' before launching into an activity. From living in an eternal state of fear, being in control of her daily routine is important. Stephanie's personality changes slightly endlessly based on the situation, but never strays far from her methodical, logical, fearful, and distrustful core.

History: Stephanie was born in Northern Illinois to two doctors. As an only child, money was never a problem and while Steph may not have been rolling in dough, she lived quite comfortably. Aside from having very busy parents, Stephanie had a rather normal childhood. She had friends and was quite amicable, though a bit cautious about trying new things. When she was entering grade school, Stephanie's parents decided to get their daughter involved in a sport. At first, they tried soccer, but she was always too nervous to really kick the ball and be aggressive like her team mates. The same was true for softball. When they noticed how well Steph was able to connect with the family cat, her parents decided to give horseback riding a try. Riding a bombproof Welsh Pony named Viva, Stephanie fell in love with horses. She had a lot of natural talent and was eager to work hard and learn. However, Stephanie's parents wanted their daughter to be a doctor like them and pushed her hard when it came to school. Most kids would have gone insane with the massive pressure placed on Steph, but she could always look forward to her weekly riding lessons on Viva.
It wasn't long before Steph was competing in her first schooling shows and slowly working her way up. In third grade, Stephanie's parents leased a sport pony for their daughter's Hunter career. She showed with moderate success in the B circuit in fifth grade. In junior high, Stephanie's parents leased various horses for their daughter as she continued in the hunter circuit and started moving up into the jumpers. However, the academic pressure also intensified and Steph found herself struggling to compete at the A and AA circuits and keep up with her coursework. To keep their daughter motivated, they bought Simone as a hunter mount. The conditions were that Stephanie needed to keep her GPA above a 3.5 to keep Simone. Thrilled by having her own horse finally, Stephanie threw herself into her studies and on a well trained hunter mount, placed well even in AA circuits. By the start of high school Stephanie received another horse, Cosmo, for the jumper circuits where she was regularly placing if not winning.
Come High School and Stephanie had virtually no friends. She spent months at a time travelling, doing homework, riding, and showing. Though she never officially joined the school's track or cross country team, Stephanie loved running and would jog all over the pedestrian part of the show grounds in the early morning if trails couldn't be found. Her parents were pushing for excellent grades and results both in the classroom and in the show ring. They believed that if they bought expensive horses for their daughter, then she should contribute back. Stephanie never saw her prize money. All of it went towards paying the bills for showing and into her college fund. When she was at home, Stephanie worked towards getting her driver's license and fulfilling her parents' demanding requests. Following a particularly successful circuit early in the summer between her Sophomore and Junior years, Stephanie's parents announced that she would be attending the presitigious Stone Gait Academy as an upperclassman.
